Flu vaccine beneficial as placebo

Very much money has been invested in the flu vaccine. It would be unwise to criticize it, the vaccine, as well as the monumental investment of monies. When the influenza campaign rolls, e.g., it is not too late to get your shot, one would be wise to support the establishment. Get on board. Repeat the placebo mantra, get your flu shot, wash your hands, sneeze into your elbow, and all will be well.
This is important, this investment, and this push toward belief, because it is an investment in belief. It is believed that if enough people believe in the flu shot, that it will work. Anxiety will be soothed. And the beneficent panacea is multifold, as the economy is served as people invest in their flu shot.
There is belief that if someone invests in something, pays money toward that belief, that they will then lean toward believing.
There is power in belief. Believe, and it will work.
The data has been known since the 1930s, that the flu shot does not work. It has never worked. But it is inexpensive, and it generates annual income, and equally, it is known that if people believe in the power of a sugar pill, that there is power. It will work. This is why vaccine production has not developed in nearly 70 years.
It is believed that mercury injected into the blood will not do untoward damage to the consumer. It is harmless, and it is inexpensive. And if we call this intentional poison an "adjuvant," this lends toward belief. It sounds scientific.
It is believed that injecting chicken egg produce into the human blood stream will not cause undue damage, that the human immune system will in fact react violently to the injection, thus stimulating the power of the immune system. And if "killed" viruses are included in the "egg matter" the immune system is led to extreme prejudice toward the virus.
Placebos have some scientific data to support their institution, although the odds are very slight, very similar to the data supporting influenza vaccinations. Thus it is not difficult to connect the logic of lending the power of placebo to the flu shot.
It does work, just a little bit. If you believe. Believe. Invest money, and you will believe. And this, this belief, it is better than doing nothing, is not this true?
Please join in, and lend your credibility to the herd mentality, to the flock-think. And it will work. Believe. And it will work.
Repeat the mantra, that you should wash your hands, and often, even though this too does nothing against the flu virus. Do not remind yourself of the studies that prove that washing the hands is ineffective in containing influenza outbreaks. Train yourself to believe. Repeat the mantra, and often, wash your hands. And believe.
Repeat the mantra, and often, that the flu shot is safe, and that it does no harm, and that it is good. Believe. And be creative in the mantra. Tell others that it protects unborn babies, the flu shot, and pregnant mothers, the flu shot, and small, small children, the flu shot, and if you believe, and if you believe hard enough, it will be true.
Please join in the effort. Lend your belief. Believe, and magical things will happen. Believe and together we will do the impossible, we will turn a placebo into real medicine, real scientific medicine, if we believe. Please, believe.
Are you beginning to believe?
